Gili Lev
President
Gili Lev is a cybersecurity executive and technology subject matter expert with 20+ years of leadership success steering enterprise-wide change, security vision, and digital transformation across executive leadership, boards, and multiple business units. Today Gili is the cloud security leader, managing director at EY cyber practice.
Prior to EY, Gili was the Cloud Executive Security Advisor at Amazon Web Services for 6 years, and an innovative leader with demonstrated success guiding organizational transformation and thought leadership across Fortune 100 companies worldwide. Her focus was driving change through cloud adoption strategies and emerging technologies, modernizing businesses to boost productivity and profitability.
At AWS, Gili pioneered the Executive Security Simulation which received immense global recognition. She served as a global AWS security, risk and compliance subject matter expert and influencer, educating and guiding large executive audiences, leveraging strategic C-level and board planning with a bold approach to ensuring successful completion of secure cloud adoption.
Gili is passionate about initiating industry change and public speaking, with keen affinity towards promoting women in cybersecurity. She is the chairman & president of Cloud Security Alliance Board of Directors NY Metro, and the founder & president of WiCyS (Women in CyberSecurity) Board of Directors Cloud Security Affiliate.
Gili holds her B.Sc. degree in Physics, Astrophysics and Mathematics from Tel Aviv University.
Val Miller
Treasurer
Val is a Program Manager at Amazon. She co-manages the Strategic Partnership of WiCyS. In addition she manages Security focused events and sponsorships for Amazon Security. Val lives by the quote “Much is given Much is required” Giving back to one’s community is empathy and love. She is super passionate about her family and laughing until her stomach hurts with her friends. Women Empower of Women!
Zaliya Suraju
Director of Education and Training
Zaliya is a Vulnerability Assessment Analyst working for the military. Her extensive experience in cybersecurity includes security analysis, vulnerability assessment, risk management and compliance. She has a bachelor’s degree in IT Security and a master’s degree in IT Management. She is passionate about learning and sharing her knowledge to help others succeed. When she’s not working, she enjoys watching movies, visiting and spending time with her family and traveling
Ankita Barabde
Director of Marketing and Social Media
Ankita is a Security Engineer/Architect at Apple with over a decade of diverse experience in the domains of engineering. She started as a software engineer and grew into architecting and engineering cloud security challenges for enterprises. Previously, she has worked at eBay and Citi. Ankita holds a M.S in Computer Science from SMU, Texas, USA and a B.E in Information Technology from University of Mumbai, India. She is currently based out of California, USA and leisurely enjoys hiking, traveling and music.
Jenny Brito
Co-Director of Marketing, Social Media, and Website
Jenny Brito is currently an Incident Response and Digital Forensics consultant with Mandiant. She graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems (“CIS”) and hold a GIAC Certified Forensics Expert (“GCFE”) certificate. In her current role, Jenny investigates headline enterprise and cloud-based breaches and assists organizations respond and remediate from advanced threats.
